Rav Yossi Stilerman
Rosh Kollel
R' Yossi was from the first group of HaRav Yitzchok Berkovits' Kollel (the Jerusalem Kollel) in 2002. After learning there for three years, he continued on as Rosh Chabura for another eleven years. In 2016, he became Rosh Chabura of the Center of Kehilla Development, and served there for five years. In 2021, R' Yossi founded the Kollel together R' Daniel and R' Aharon.
Rav Aharon Rubenstein
Mashgiach
R' Aharon learned in Yeshivas Zeev HaTorah for two years, and then went on to learn in Yeshivas Shor Yoshuv for another two years. He is a talmid of Rav Motel ZIlber Shlit"a, and gives shiurim in machshava and chasidus.
R' Ezzy Astor
Shoal U'meishiv
R' Ezzy learned in Yeshivas Ohr Dovid for two years, and then went on to learn in Yeshivas Zeev HaTorah for another three years, followed by Yeshivas Mir. After getting married, he returned to learned in Kollel in Yeshivas Mir for five years and went on to learn in Kollel Ner Naftali and R' Wagner's Kollel. R' Ezzy is a close talmid of HaRav Meir Warsager and HaRav Doniel Belsky shlita. After learning in the Kollel for a year, he began to serve as Sho'el U'Meishiv. Reb Ezzy is the address for many of the yungeleit for chizuk and all matters in life. He currently gives shiurim in the Torah of R' Tzadok HaKohen. Click below to listen to the shiurim.
R' Daniel Green
Executive Director
R' Daniel learned in Yeshivas Heichal HaTorah in Toronto under HaRav Mayer Zoberman shlita, followed by Yeshivas Aish HaTorah and Yeshivas Mir. After getting married, he went on to learn in kollel in Yeshivas Shor Yoshuv under the Rosh Yeshiva HaRav Naftali Jaeger for 4 years. Upon moving to Eretz Yisroel, R' Daniel started Kehilla Kedosha Beis Shlomo of Ramat Eshkol, and continues to serve as its Executive Director to this day. R' Doniel is a close talmid of HaRav Shmuel Zucker shlita, the Mara D'Asra of the Kehilla. After seeing the need to start a Kollel hosted in the facilities of Kehilla Kedosha he and R' Aharon Rubenstein initiated the Kollel in 2021 and now serves as its Executive Director. R' Daniel manages and administrates all the Kollel functioning, and behind the scenes for all the yungeleit in ruchniyus and gashmius.
Aharon Shlomo Knobel
Director
Aharon Shlomo learned at Yeshivas Mevaseret for two years before spending a year at Yeshivas Bircas HaTorah in the Old City of Yerushalayim. He then spent a year learning by Rabbi Shimon Green in Phoenix Arizona before moving to Johannesburg South Africa, where he taught in the Yeshivas Maharsha high school for about seven months. After getting married, Aharon lived in Miami for a year where he learned for half a day and worked for half a day. Aharon and his wife moved to Eretz Yisrael about a year ago, which is when he joined Kollel Derech Chaim. Aharon in adition to running the Kollel's programming, he is also the campaign manager, relationship manager, and overall director of the kollel and its development.
Haim Cohen Saban
Director of Philanthropy
Haim Cohen Saban is a successful businessman and close friend of Rav Yossi Stilerman, but most importantly an ardent supporter of Torah learning and Jewish Causes. After spending many Elul's together with Rav Yossi in Rabbi Berkovits’ Jerusalem Kollel, Haim and R' Yossi developed a very close friendship. Haim always had a dream to help open and support a Kollel with a goal that would help the future of Torah to succeed without limitations. When Rav Yossi started Kollel Derech Chaim, Haim was thrilled to be a strong supporter of the Kollel, a role which he is honored to have.
Yaakov Bach
Director of Job Placement
Yaakov Bach is originally from Teaneck New Jersey. After attending high school at Frisch, he moved on to Yeshivat Reishit. After two years in Eretz Yisrael, Yaakov attended YU where he received a degree in psychology. After getting married, he was the director of Portland NCSY. Then in 2021, Yaakov started The Tefillin Project, which gifts pairs of Tefillin to committed baalei teshuva who never had the z'chus to receive one at their Bar Mitzvah. He also founded "The $25for25 Project", a worldwide intercollegiate Chavrusa initiative, which has connected hundreds of college students from around the world to learn together for the past four years. Yaakov's large network and vast knowledge of Jewish organizations worldwide gives him the unique ability to help the Yungeit find suitable positions that will maximize the impact they can have on communities worldwide after leaving the Kollel.
Zechariah Zahler
Back Office Manager
Zechariah, a good childhood friend of Rav Yossi, runs multiple businesses while simultaneously helps run not-for-profit organizations, including Ner Gavriel (which gives financial assistance to Avreichim in Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim). Zechariah generously and selflessly gives of his precious time to run the office of the Kollel and take responsibility helping with the Kollel's finances.
